This typically involves conventional materials such as silicone, foam, or rubber. In contrast, our approach is based on the use of cellular structures, which ensures superior biomechanical performance, enhanced comfort, and a fully personalized fit for each user. The geometry of the armrest was designed with the following key criteria in mind:<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"408\" data-end=\"661\">\u2022 Optimal fit to the user\u2019s arm through a dual-curvature profile.<br data-start=\"473\" data-end=\"476\" \/>\u2022 Variable radius along the contact edge for a softer and more comfortable support.<br data-start=\"559\" data-end=\"562\" \/>\u2022 Symmetrical cushion shape in both longitudinal and transverse directions, enabling versatile use.<\/p><p data-start=\"663\" data-end=\"750\">The cellular structure itself ensures breathability, comfort, and a lightweight design.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b3d434a e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"b3d434a\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5b956a8e e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"5b956a8e\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-26715027 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"26715027\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Following the testing of the first 3D-printed prototypes, we made initial topological and geometrical adjustments to the armrest design. In the numerical simulation, all soft tissues were combined into a single part, which simplified the model and optimized computational processing.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"391\" data-end=\"700\">Since the palm did not come into contact with the armrest in the simulation and was treated as a rigid body, the hand bones were not included in the geometric model of the arm. The bones were anthropometrically adjusted to a position that corresponds to the use of a computer mouse. Ensuring the correct positioning is crucial, as the thickness of the soft tissue layer between the bone and the armrest significantly affects the distribution and magnitude of contact pressure.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5d363530 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"5d363530\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8a86f18 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"8a86f18\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-56f574b3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"56f574b3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p class=\"\" data-start=\"68\" data-end=\"477\">In the analysis of biomechanical systems, such as the simulation of interaction between the arm and the armrest, two key parameters are commonly used: contact pressure and displacement. These were carefully considered during the product development process. Contact pressure is directly related to comfort, as excessive pressure values or high concentrations can lead to discomfort or even soft tissue damage.<\/p><p class=\"\" data-start=\"479\" data-end=\"753\">On the other hand, displacement is used to evaluate the stability of the analyzed component. The maximum contact pressure and its distribution were analyzed at the interface between the cushion and the arm.
